Below you will find 185 broadcasts of "Your Opinion, Please," from the early 2000s, as they were aired on radio station KEMC in Billings, Montana. The show was hosted by Marvin Granger and Ken Siebert and features callers from across the state.
While I usually listened to the broadcasts live, I didn't always record them but you will find a fair sampling of them below. I recorded either on reel-to-reel tape or directly to the computer using a timer recorder. They were all digitized as some point and while the quality might vary a bit they are all listenable. I did take some notes regarding the topics covered in a few of the shows and those appear in the list below. I plan to work my way back through the programs and add more of those notes.
Call-in shows have existed in Billings for many years. While the current trend leans toward outrage-baiting and ranting, "Your Opinion, Please" was a pleasant divergence from that with a calm tone and a caring approach to the issues.
These programs are now the subject of a documentary film. Find out more about the film here: Your Opinion Film
If you are interested in some older call-in shows from Billings, I unearthed quite a few more some years ago and have those posted in the 600 Reels Page. There is a search box there and by entering "call-in" you will find some from the mid-1960s to 1970. One of the shows was called "Beef or Bouquet."
